Glock 21 Recoil Spring Weight - The biggest drawback of the Gen 4 recoil system is the inability to easily adjust the spring weights to properly adjust the handgun. Also, when the springs wear out, an expensive spring should be purchased instead of just the spring. Our package solves both of these problems. The box includes our guide rod, a ring that fits the Gen 4 slide and a rebound spring.
Our lead rod is designed to increase the reliability and durability of the bell system under the most extreme conditions. Our guide rod provides a quick release for shot return and a smoother slide motor than is possible with OEM guide rods. Accuracy with the Glock system is greatly affected by the tightness of the lock. I tried it a while ago and found that the match box gives false luster results if the slide is not as tight as a Swiss safety. Additionally, the polymer plant guide rod is not straight, leading to the slide not looking properly. The solution is a high quality steel guide rod. With the springs we use (solid weight), the stability of the assembly is increased and that is a good thing.

The guide rods are made of 4140 hardened steel with a Melonite finish. The result is a very durable recoil guide rod with a black finish, and corrosion resistance like a gun. To increase ultimate reliability, the guide rods are designed as non-captured units for better reliability than captured guide rods. Compatible with any quality spring such as ISMI or Wolff.

Well made, well made and almost falls right in. With a little force, I was able to remove the washer. I found a small amount of loctite on the guide rod sticking out of the retaining screw. This is to catch the washer, not allowing it to move. I cut the rest and it works fine now. Might want to check that out, or recommend it to customers. I thought it was broken at first.
So glad it fell into place without any problems. I noticed that it is not coated in silver for different spring weights and it has a wash that is not shown in the picture. After I saw this I thought it would weigh on my digital scale and it weighed 25.6 grams so I took it to court and weighed it on a digital paint scale and got the same weight 25.6 not 28.3 as advertised. Although I was very happy to not make any mistakes in my gun after hundreds of thousands of shots. I really like this extension.
It seems that the shooting is not good, the only reason for 4 stars is because of what was said before, the red lock at the end is stuck to get into the picture, I have to rub it to the dust from it and work. for a while before I got a good hold. It seems to be working fine now, but I'll try it tomorrow, if it's good, I'll change my review to 5 stars.

The .40 S&W G22 eliminates the high pressure slide-to-frame battering and FTFs that occur when a light is mounted on a Gen 3 rail. These problems are caused by insufficient 17lb recoil spring with 9mm G17. Reducing bounce. The added weight and rigidity of a stainless steel guide rod is a nice bonus.

I gained 17 lbs. "Competition Recoil Spring" for my Glock 17, Gen 4. Cleaned and lubricated and installed in my gun with no problems. The Gen 4 requires an "adapter ring". When running the slide assembly by hand, it rubbed off on my mind and heard a small whirring sound. I then checked the slide, lower housing, and box, no problem. The spring will rub the guide rod.
I shot over 100 rounds (medium powder charge). It's flawless. The gearboxes are good, the climbs are very good all around, and the box seems to be a bit less.
