Sig Sauer Suppressors - In AR Patterned, AR-15, Editorial, NFA / Suppressors / Class III, Other Gear and Gadgets, Rifles, Silencer Saturday by Pete No Comments
Good afternoon everyone and welcome to TFB's Silencer Saturday brought to you by Yankee Hill Machine, makers of the new YHM Phantom 22 ring percussion suppressor. Last week we discussed the SIG SRD22X in the new SIG P322 ring pistol. This week we're featuring the new SIG Sauer suppressors, including three of the latest 3D-printed models with a fully automatic test. Do you see the difference between them? Let's look at it.

I need a new KAC 5.56 QDC or QDC CQB Silencer review on Saturday. I will pay an acquisition fee for anything that is reasonably priced and ready to be transferred to form 3. I reserve the right to refuse airsoft models, cardboard cutouts or any other unreasonable suggestions. [email protected]

Full disclosure, I'm not a video person. Throw in the fact that I was wet and the lightning was getting closer and closer and you have a short view of these four suppressors on the select fire 5.56mm AR-15. This gun has very little gas which causes misfires. If the weather was cooperating, I'd probably change the uppers - this gun has a medium length gas system and a very smooth Surefire Optimized BCG.
To me, the SLX556-QD has a deeper tone than the 7.62 suppressors shown in the video. As a side note, the Clutch-LOK QD installation system works well under extreme heat.
Thanks for reading and watching. Have a great week, stay safe and we'll see you back here for another Silencer Saturday.

Sig Sauer Srd556 Qd Suppressor Review
Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of TFB's Silencer Saturday brought to you by Yankee Hill Machine, makers of the awesome Turbo K 5.56 suppressor. Last week we discussed how everyone needs one ring press. This week we're looking specifically at the new SIG Sauer suppressors that will be available starting in August or September. Want to add one to your arsenal? I think so. Follow me to get an initial report and job evaluation.
Before you decide to cut my throat for not including some of the more important details and specs, I still don't have the weights, measurements, and prices to share. Although strong, none of the Inconel models feel unbearably heavy to me.
We shot the SLX suppressors in the NGSW Submission SIG Light Machinegun and the MCX SPEAR Select Fire Rifle in 6.8x51mm (.277 Fury), 5.56mm MCX Virtus, and .308 piston rifle. With a very low pressure design, there was no need to adjust the throttle setting on any platform.
Testing silencers used with high-powered ammunition is difficult without a decibel meter designed specifically for testing gunfire. But they each performed very well in their respective platforms. I was 10 meters away and in line with the barrel of the LMG and I was surprised by the lack of explosions and noise from the central suppressor. Very scientific, I know.

Here's a quick assembly video from our "retired editor but still the best manufacturer in the business" Ryan Ogborn showing off the front and the durability of the SIG Sauer SLX 3D printable compression.
As a reminder, these are early prototypes. Colors and features may vary when available for purchase.
TFBTV received a breakdown of the MODX45 Modular Pistol Suppressor after the 2020 SHOT Show thanks to our friends at Silencer Shop.
Today on TFBTV, Ryan reviews Sig Sauer's 3D printed titanium silencer, the MODX45. How does it work on the Sig Sauer P220? Check out today's video to see (hear?) for yourself NOTE: This muffler is NOT on the market yet and won't be for a year after this video is posted. James will have a more detailed interview on TFBTV about the new suppressors with the SIG Sauer team soon.
The QD mount resolution on the SLX and SLH models is different from the SRD556 and SRD762 QD models. Although this may disappoint owners of previous generations, this week I had the opportunity to speak with SIG muffler guru John Hollister. The new system has a simple design and is easy to handle, but the old QD mount will continue to be produced for many years.
Speaking to Robbie Johnson, head of SIG Sauer's product development team, the new QD system revolves around mating, internal cameras followed by threads. The 6.8mm suppressor machine gun was loaded with thousands of rounds of full auto fire before it was removed and discharged without a problem.

Unlike the last generation, owners will be able to purchase a suppressor model and use a direct cable mounting unit or a QD mounting unit. In the past with SRD cans it was a choice of one or the other.
Obviously, the opening allows the mount to pop out of the flash hider while the locking position holds everything together.
If you pull the silencer when mounting or want to remove it from the mount while it's still hot, a tool is provided that includes four notches on the mouthpiece.
Below you can see the internal cameras that include the bracket in the enclosed area.

We'll have a more detailed review of the SLX when I get my hands on some of the first production tins in a few weeks. Until then be safe, have fun and see you back here next weekend for another edition of Silencer Saturday.

The introduction of the SIG516 and SIG716 rifles introduces the AR platform to the company's excellent line of combat-ready and operational-ready rifles. Both have proven to be among the best available today, with many new features added at the request of industry professionals. When the M400 was introduced, it brought Sig Sauer quality and attention to detail to an affordable AR rifle. With many changes, it became a favorite of many officers.

Sig Slx Suppressor Technology
Gun suppressors have become increasingly popular with law enforcement and military personnel in recent years. They offer many advantages, including sound reduction, recoil control, and greatly reduced muzzle flash. All these factors contribute to safe operation in adverse conditions and the ability to maintain concentration in combat under continuous fire. While some companies partner with existing builders, others design their own. Sig Sauer has done just that, and a recent trip to the Sig Sauer Academy allowed me to spend time with two of the company's SIG-SD suppressors, or as the company calls them, "silencers."
Sig Sauer suppressors are made of stainless steel with a high nickel content. Stainless steel has long been the first choice for rifle suppressor construction. Although titanium has become ubiquitous these days, it is difficult to work with, expensive and requires special welding. Titanium is well suited for special applications, but stainless steel is still well suited for general use, especially when continuous automatic fire is required. The high nickel stainless steel that Sig uses in both the baffles and the main tubes helps to reduce metal corrosion and increase longevity.
Gun suppressors have taken a few turns in recent years. Most are shorter and more effective. Short suppressors are lighter, stronger, and put less unnecessary weight on the end of the pipe, reducing stress on the pipe threads. However, short suppressors are long and can be ineffective when it comes to reducing light. Reducing the volume of gases that the compressor redirects can make them less efficient. Another solution is to make them larger in width. Increasing its volume accomplishes several things, including reducing heat and back pressure. When automatic fire is coordinated, a high volume suppressor tends to make guns more reliable. This allows you to maintain solid reliability and efficiency without adding too much weight and length. Both the 5.56mm and 7.62mm SIG-SD suppressors use this concept with 2 full OD tubes. Cut back, they will do
