Savage Arms 64f - The Savage Model 64 series is a .22 LR semi-automatic rifle manufactured in Canada by Savage Arms. It works in a simple shooting process. Marketed to beginner shooters, small game enthusiasts, and budget shooters. It is one of the most popular hunting and shooting rifles in the United States due to its accuracy, use of the popular .22 long-barreled rifle, and low cost.
First introduced as the Cooey Model 64, it was launched in 1964. The gun was designed by Hubert Cooey and was based on the Model 39 design.
Savage Arms 64f
The Cooey factory closed in 1979, and much of the staff and machinery went to the Lakefield Arms Company. Savage Arms acquired Lakefield Arms in 1995 and continues to operate under the Savage and Stevs labels.

The 22s differs from regular semi-automatic rifles in that it is available in a left-handed version with a left-handed safety, charging handle, and trigger port.

In 2019, Savage created a variant of the Model 64 designed for easy disassembly and assembly. This variation is called the Model 64 Takedown. The Model 64 Takedown is only available in matte black and synthetic materials. Comes in a punch box and is tapped for general additions. The Model 64 Takedown is manufactured at Savage's facility in Canada.
